Low Water Crossings
Installation of Flexamat for low water crossings utilized by the US Forest Service and NRCS.
The Angeles Forest Service maintains a stretch of maintenance and access roads near the Pacific Crest Trailhead in Santa Clarita, CA. The project involved rehabilitation of two low water crossings, which were experiencing heavy erosion as a result of recent wildfires. The Forestry had originally designed the two crossings with a combination of rip rap and concrete. Flexamat offered the Forest Service and NRCS a cost-saving alternative to their design which resulted in a quicker installation and a more natural look.
