"I was the inspector for a Flex-a-mat installation alongside Rt. 747. The same day Motz installed the Flex-a-mat, we had a one-inch rain come down just as they finished laying the mat. Above where the mat was laid, there was an eroded ditch that didn't have any protection that was allowing mud to enter the ditch. I was impressed to see that at the base of the hill, the water was flowing much cleaner than at the top, after the rain water passed through the Flex-a-mat ditch. The very first day Flex-a-mat was installed, before any vegetation, the mat was cleansing the water of sediments and not allowing erosion"
