School Campus Erosion Control

Schools typically have large buildings and parking lots that create considerable stormwater runoff. These impervious surfaces make stormwater outlets, drainage ditches, and detention/retention areas necessary. These areas with concentrated flows are compounded with frequent disturbances by maintenance equipment that can lead to erosion issues. Flexamat® offers a permanent solution for these areas.

During a growing season, grass rises through the matting. Flexamat can be mowed with commercial mowing equipment, all while providing support for the turf, which prevents rutting. Drainage areas are notoriously difficult to maintain and often become overgrown.  Flexamat enables safe maintenance of these areas. 

Flexamat is locked in place and cannot be thrown as a projectile.
